40's Style Silky Dress

Today was a pretty winter's day. So I felt like taking my camera and doing some photo shoot in my backyard. Because it has been so cold here in Florida, I haven't had a chance to wear short sleeve dresses in a while. So today was a perfect day to wear my silky black dress from JCPenny's!




One of the best features of this dress is the style and the cut. And although this dress is not vintage, it definitely has that 40's vintage flare, which I absolutely love!





To add a little sparkle to my ensemble, I added my silvery necklace and earrings that I got from Avon!






The best feature of this dress is the empire style top. Here you can appreciate the details of the design. Very couture chic don't you think?






I added my silvery bow belt to the dress. Not too bad looking.







To finish my photo shoot I did a swing. Then I came back inside my house because it started to get cold again.

True Fact: I used to love dancing to the fifties. When I was in my mid 20's I attended a friend's party and I started to dance to the twist. Then all of the sudden I twisted my knee out of the socket. That was the end of my twisting days. When I went to see my doctor he said that he used to see more patient with this problem way back in his days. Now I understand why so many middle age folks are having knee surgery.

My Face Routine

For my everyday beauty routine I take special notice of my face. I can't afford to go out without putting on my basic beauty essentials, and not especially in the hot Florida days.

Many years ago I used to sun bathe. We grew up always going to a pool or the beach. Until my late 20's I realized that I was starting to have sun spots. For me, I thought it was kind of nice to have some freckles. And after being out in the sun I loved how my skin had that sun skin glow.

In my early 30's and mid 30's I still had a healthy skin. And even though, I started to noticed some lines of expression, it wasn't a real deal for me.

But later things started to change. After many years of having a smooth complexion, I had started to noticed on my face, the all dreaded, ,every girls nightmare, the all enemy of skin, "The Wrinkle."

This bad wrinkle is right on my forehead, the perfect place for anybody to notice it. Technically speaking this thing is called "A Mr. Frown." The weird part of my frown was how it got there, which I am still trying to figure out.

Several years I had the worst case of Gastritis. Every time I had this stomach pain my whole skin would get dry and wrinkly jut like a prune. That was when I first started to noticed Mr. Frown. After my health improved and my skin improved, I thought for sure that Mr. Frown would to.

Well, unfortunately that wasnt the case. Mr. Frown decided to stay in town, right on my face. I couldn't this time ignore my skin. This time I had to take action! I had to regain my face again.

I am a very sensitive girl. So I can't use any kind of cream, especially if they have strong chemicals. I had used some cold creams before, which worked fine in making my skin smooth like a babies bottom. Though this time, I needed something more effective, stronger and yet safe for my sensitve skin.



I am excited to say that I found a great product that I am very happy with! The name is Liiv Botanicals Face Serum, from Avon. As you already know I started to sell Avon several months ago. So when I learned about this natural serum that helps to minimize frowns and lines of expressions, I couldn't wait try it right away.

Butler Bag Basics

My First Avon Campaign!

Today I received my first Avon campaign order! I was so excited when I got my package, that I couldn't wait to open and see what goodies I got! I could say that I am 100% satisfied with how organized my Avon packaging was. Avon truly takes notice of details!

I received all of my customers orders, which I am very pleased about. Sometimes when I order something online, for some unknown reason I get the wrong product or the item was the wrong size.


As a new Avon representative I can say that this company have met my expectations! For the past several weeks I have been receiving online training, from how to manage my Avon business, to how to help customers in choosing the right makeup color. I have always wanted to be a beauty adviser, and now I am, thanks to Avon!

I am so excited to say that I am a new Avon Lady! I have sold Avon beauty products in the past, and I enjoyed it very much.
