The Office Secretary Outfit

A lot of gals have had to go back to the workforce. And that means one thing: Shopping time! Now because fashion seems to change in a blink of an eye and the budget is tight the best solution is then to shop for a smart classic look.

Here is my take of the office secretary classic outfit. I totally love this office secretary ensemble that I found at Mod Cloth ! The dress is by Bettie Page. And even though I don't work at an office building, I still consider myself my husband's secretary. Just a few minutes ago he asked me where his favorite pen was. Well, besides helping him look for lost items, I take care of our house budget. I pay the bills. And I make suggestions with many purchases, like finding our cute little home and our automobile.

And of course for his appreciation of my hard work he brings me flowers! Like he did yesterday.

These glamours metallic pinkish gray sandals from Zappos and made by Naturalizer will look great with your new classic secretary dress! Just remember to make sure that your toes are beautifully polished. It's important to always look presentable, no matter how crazy things get.

Now a secretary always makes sure to carry her notebook, pens, cell phone, and of course her compact powder. And what best then this powdery pink handbag by McKlein to complete the look! Now the only way that you can purchase this bag is if your boss gives you a rise. So be brave and ask for one!

Yes, gals you too can look put together with this classic secretary outfit no matter if you work at home or at the office.

Retro Shopping at Target!

As a retro lover, I spend some of my time researching and browsing through the internet and visiting my favorites vintage stores. Two days ago, I decided to visit some stores that I haven't been in a while. So I went to Target, looking for that special item, and there it was, not one, nor two, but a whole collection of retro dresses and accessories for sale! I was totally blown away by all of these selections! For the last two days I have been walking on cloud nine.

Here are just a few retro items that caught my eye:

And the best part in shopping at Target, is the unbeatable price!

Half The Bootsy

It seems like Florida didn't get the memo that we are already in Fall. In the meanwhile I am looking for Boots inspiration. These cute bootys by La Canadienne reminds me of times gone by, when Parisian women wore hats, gloves, and drove buggies.

These classic boots are definitely unique. These are that kind of boots that are stylish and yet dependable. When you choose boots you want to always make sure that they will stand against harsh elements. These boots are crafted by the using only Italian materials. It is true that these shoes are a bit costly, though they are a great investment for years to come.

I chose these bootsy, that had each a different style and color. As a boot lover you can never have enough boots to wear. Boots are like shoes, they each have their own personality.

Want to meet some friends at a café ? These brown boots are casual yet super chic!

Do you want to perk yourself up? I recommend that you wear these perky red pair!

Want to imagine that are going on a diner date in Paris? These lace-up black bootsy are the ones for you!

For more boosty inspiration you can go to Zappos!

Have a great weekend!

Shopping Therapy

I can't tell you how thrilled I was when I found these cute retro shoes! Here I was this Friday morning going for some shopping therapy to my favorite thrift store. I was going through a crummy week. So when Friday arrived I wanted to clear my head a bit. For the past several months I have been looking for a decent pair of black shoes. That day I wasn't expecting that I was going to find shoes that I would love and that it would be around my size.

Here I was casually walking on the shoe aisle, and drooling over shoes that I can't wear, when I spotted a pair of black shoes. This pair of shoes was two size bigger, but they looked narrow. So when I tried them they fit pretty nice. I love how these shoes style was, and they look pretty sophisticated. So I decided to take them, when the incredible happened.

A few feet away, no pun intended, is when I saw these pretty Mary Jane black shoes! At first I said to myself, "I don't think there are my size, there are too pretty to be my size, and plus what are the odds for me to find a second shoe that fit me?" That day I wasn't feeling that optimistic, I couldn't help it, I was having a bad week. The reason why I needed that shopping therapy!

What do I love about these shoes? Everything! Let's first start with the retro style. They are so retro chic! I love that the shoes are not completely black. The ivory color curvy edge and the detail in the back of the shoes adds that feminine touch to these shoes. These shoes are so comfortable to wear, perfect for a long day. Oh, I have to add that these shoes are made by Kenneth Cole, and that they are called Reaction, I should called it a positive reaction!

By the end of the the day after my shopping therapy, I felt better. I was able to clear my head. I regained my thoughts again. I felt that even though life can be crazy sometimes, that there is a little thing called hope. That even though I can't expect everything or anything in life, I can still try to be optimistic and accept that little something that comes my way.

I can just imagine myself driving a black scooter on the streets of Paris and looking retro chic, and wearing my new pair of shoes!

It's great to day-dream again!

My Shoe Dream

I have been crazy these days trying to look for some decent black 5 size shoes! In actuality, I am really size 4 and a half. I know, I have the smallest pair of feet in the world. The reason why I am looking for a 5 size shoe is that I kind of gave up looking for a size 4 and a half womanly shoes! Evertime I go inside a shoe store and came out empty handed, I end up throwing a Miss Piggy fit.

Awww!

Now that that's off of my chest. I could go ahead and talk about these lovely shoes that I found at Etsy.

Aren't these shoes cute? I love these shoes because they are so Parisian looking. I just love black and white shoes. These shoes come with the dotted lines, which is so vintage looking. The curvy details both in the cut and shape of the shoe adds that feminine touch. And even though these shoes come with a thick buckle they still look womanly.

I can just imagine myself walking on the streets of Paris on day wearing this pair of shoes. How elegant and poised I would look. I would just fit in perfectly with the ladies of Paris. I would spot a cafe down the street and walk toward it, then probably stumble and fall on my tush. People would be so friendly and run towards me to pick me up from the lovely cobblestone street.

Then people would be asking me, "Mademoiselle, are you alright?"

"Merci oui," I would bashfully say.

Then an older shoemaker would approach me and say, "Don't worry Madam, I will help you."

Then this older shoemaker would invite me to his shoe shop. As I would sit with a cup of coffee while I watch the shoemaker repairing my shoes. Then a few minutes later the shoemaker would hand over my shoes.

"Madam, here are your brand new shoes."

Then as I get my shoe back I realize that the sole hasn't been repaired. Then I ask the shoemaker why he didn't repair my sole.

"Madam, the problem with your shoes was not the sole. It was the size. You see, these lovely black shoes that you saw at Etsy is not your size. They are a size 7. Madam, I had to stuff your shoes so that you would not fall again."

I would have to contain myself so that I won't throw a Miss Piggy fit. After all its Paris.

Than I would thank the shoemaker. And as I would leave the shop I would say:

"Now, sir, I have a question. Why do you keep on calling me Madam and not Mademoiselle?

"I saw your wedding ring. So I knew that you were a married woman."

I would be mesmerized.

The lesson of this story is, I can't continue stuffing my shoes and I am not a Mademoiselle!

I just want a decent black pair of shoes with a perfect fit!

Am I asking for too much?
